p.3 St. Lawrence improvement bill sent to Legislative Council on Tuesday last.

Notice - With a view to improvement and despatch in our business, as Forwarders, we have purchased from the Estate of the late Mr. H. Dickinson, two-thirds of his interest in the Steam-Boats between this place and Montreal, and, as it is our determination to have Boats towed both up and down, we have no hesitation in stating, that it will be in our power to serve our friends and the public far more satisfactorily than we have heretofore been able to do, and are of opinion, that our present business will so well connect with that of Steam Boats, as to enable us to reduce considerably, the present charges of Freight. The business will be conducted under the Firms of Crane, Hooker, McCutchon & Co. at this place, and Macpherson, Henderson & McCutchon, at Montreal. Prescott, 14th December 1832.

They have stores and an Agent at Kingston who will attend to receiving and shipping property for Montreal.
