p.1 A Letter from the Falls of Niagara - dated August 1838, addressed to the Editor of the N.Y. Albion from an Officer of the 43d Regiment - gives a description of a trip from Montreal through rapids to Kingston and on to Niagara, using the steamer Brockville through the Thousand Islands and the steamer Great Britain on Lake Ontario. (3 columns)

p.3 Tamarack Knees wanted - 200 at Kingston Marine Railway, to side and mould 8 inches, at Gananoque 300. Jan. 8th.
