p.2 One of the locks of the Grenville Canal has failed, and the trade by the Ottawa will be stopped for 2 or 3 weeks.

p.3 The Gov't hired a steamer at Buffalo last ( ) for cruising on Lake Erie. She was to have been returned a week or two since, which was not done on the day, and the owners are now claiming $10,000 damages, it is said, for the loss of the season. Capt. Sandom went up last week in the Experiment to arrange the affair. ( ) will find Brother Jonathan wide awake for the ( ).
