History

90x12x5. Owned by M. K. Dickinson, Montreal. Built Brockville 1853 (perhaps rebuild of earlier unknown vessel). Pollywog (i. e. paddles as far aft as possible for maximum cargo space). Passage boat Montreal-Ottawa-Kingston triangle, later freight only. "A small boat…. more calculated for freight than passengers, though for the latter there are a gentlemen's and ladies' cabins of moderate proportions, but withal very snug and comfortable" (Kingston "Whig") Destroyed by fire about 01/06/63 at Montreal during conversion to barge. Engine probably passed on to "City of Ottawa".
