Sealed Tenders will be received at the Commissariat Office, Montreal, until noon on Monday the 28th day of February, 1842, for the performance of such TRANSPORT by BARGE, to and from Montreal and Kingston, and intermediate places, via the St. Lawrence, as may be required by Her Majesty's Government, during the Season of 1842.

The conditions of the Contract, as also a form of the Tender, and any further information that may be required, will be obtained on application at the Commissariat Office, at Montreal or Kingston.

The Tenders to state the rates in Halifax currency, and to contain the real signatures of two responsible persons as sureties, for the due fulfillment of the Contract.

Commissariat, Montreal. 20th January, 1842.

Notice - At a meeting of the Stockholders of the Steam Boat Commodore Barrie, held this day, pursuant to notice, a dividend of Five Pounds per share was declared, payable on the 31st inst., at the office of the subscriber.
