History

199x28x13 Owned by O. T. Macklem. Built by Niagara Harbour & Dock Co., Chippewa Ont. (branch yard) and launched 10/06/46. Engine 60x120 by Macklem Iron Works, Chippewa. Used Buffalo-Windsor. Had 180' upper saloon, 42 staterooms, 10 "bedrooms with beds". Fraudulently seized by U.S. Customs July 1849. Cause later held "insufficient" and corrupt Customs officer prosecuted, but vessel never returned to Canada.
