Previous Registration: British (1870)

137x20x12 Owned by J. G. Ross, Quebec 1871, 1886; F. Ross, Quebec 1895. Built by Wm. Symons & Co., Renfrew Scotland 1865. Towboat below Quebec at first, on Lake Ontario 1880's. Sank 03/05/83 Wells Island, St. Lawrence, refloated. Wrecked in snowstorm 01/11/83 near Clayton, N. Y. on first trip after earlier wreck. Reconditioned Kingston after this wreck, job completed August 1884, boat laid up at Garden Island and not used again. Sank again that winter, on bottom until October 1885, raised and probably scuttled. Known as "Conqueror No. 1"
