History

Dimensions unknown. First owner described as "Capt. F. Denaud dit Jeremie" (Quebec "Minerve") or "Mr. Jeremie dit Decelles" (Montreal "Gazette"). "New accommodations" 1834. Originally used on short runs from Montreal, then tried Montreal-Quebec, finally Quebec harbour tug. Engine trouble about 10/07/35 Trois Rivières en route Quebec-Montreal; Irish immigrant passengers rioted. Tussle 26/07/35 at Trois Rivières between Decelles and a Mr. Barre; latter had "some differences" with Decelles and they fought to see who would be captain. Probably ex "Richelieu". Nothing official on this one.
