fire at head of Greer's wharf..."The houses on the opposite side of the street were in great danger, and the roof of Mr. Hunter's Marine Store was on fire, but by a constant application of water they were all preserved..."


Ferry to Long Island.


Notice is hereby given, that on and after the 1st inst., the Steam Ferry-boat between Kingston and Long Island, will leave Kingston as follows:

Leaves Kingston Leaves Wolfe Island

1st trip - 7 A.M. 1st trip - 8 A.M.

2nd do. 11 A.M. 2nd do. 12 1/2 P.M.

3rd do. 3 P.M. 3rd do. 4 1/2 P.M.
