p.3 The Board of Ordnance have addressed a requisition to the Corporation of Kingston requiring them to give up the Government water lots in front of the Town Hall, preparatory to commencing work on the intended fortifications there. The contracts for these works will soon be given out, so as to allow the stones to be prepared this winter, and the building to begin early in the spring.
