p.2 New Forwarding Company - We rejoice to learn that Mr. Ralph Jones, the well known forwarder, is making arrangements for getting up a line of freight steamers to run through direct from Toronto and Hamilton to Quebec. We understand that a contract has already been entered into for building one steamer to be ready on the opening of the navigation next year, and that every effort will be made to put other boats under contract immediately.

p.3 Port Windsor in future will be called Port Whitby, according to a proclamation in the official Gazette of the 4th inst.
