p.2 City Council - Petitions - Of Capt. Masson and others, captains of vessels, praying that a practical seaman, or a person acquainted with maritime affairs be appointed to the vacancy of Harbor Master.

in 1847 W. McCuniffe was paid 125 pounds.

in 1847 the lighthouse keeper was supposed to be paid 30 pounds, but it is contemplated to unite the duties this year.
