174x25x10 Owned by Sinclair, McCarthy & Shaw. Built by D. & J. McCarthy, Sorel and launched 12/07/56. Engine(s) 46x132 by Kingston Foundry, from "John Counter". Used Montreal-Hamilton. Maiden voyage 09/09/56 with entire "upper saloon deck" missing (never added). Wrecked on fourth trip 29/11/56 Toronto Island and broke up in gale a few days later. "Rothesay Castle" ran onto submerged boiler 15/08/75 and sank. Boiler eventually blown up as menace to navigation.
