p.2 The new steamer building at Chippewa by the Niagara Harbor Dock Co. and intended for the navigation of Lake Erie, in connection with the London, will be launched on the 10th instant.

p.3 Warlike - We understand that orders have been received at the Naval Yard here to fix up H.M. Steamer Cherokee and put her in commission. The roofing which protected her from the weather was removed this morning. The Cherokee is a large and powerful vessel; her engines are of 200 horse-power. She was launched in the Summer of 1844, but owing to a provision of the Ashburton Treaty, was allowed to remain in an unfinished state.
