p.2 St. Clair Flats - The Western Standard states that a dredging machine has been towed to the flats of Lake St. Clair, for the purpose of deepening and straightening the channel.

The British Queen, a new steamer built at Port Metcalfe, for the river route, in connection with the American Lake Boats, has, we perceive, by the Cornwall Observer, made a trip to Lachine. The new steamer is commanded by Capt. Chamberlain, formerly of the Chieftain.
