p.2 Toronto Dry Dock Company - This Company, which received its Charter during the last session of Parliament, is about to go into active operation. A few temporary buildings will be erected on its premises at Reese's wharf and the Company will soon be prepared to execute orders for articles in its line. A meeting of the Stockholders, to appoint Directors, was held on Friday last, the 8th, when Messrs. Angus Bethune, Joseph Beckett, W.H. Boulton, Thos. Dick, John Ewart, David Paterson, and Thos. Craig, were elected. John Ewart, Esq. was chosen President; D. Paterson, Esq. Treasurer, and Wm. V. Bacon, Esq., Solicitor and Secretary. We understand it is the intention of the Directors to apply to Parliament for permission to increase their capital to £40,000, from £10,000 as at present. [Globe]
