p.2 The Jefferson & Dallas - These revenue steamers are now in Montreal. On Saturday an address was presented by the members of the City Council to the officers in charge, suited to the occasion of the first descent of the St. Lawrence by vessels bearing the American flag, and a reply returned in which the attention received by the latter during their visit are handsomely acknowledged.

p.3 Movements of the Commander of the Forces - His Excellency Lt. General Sir Benjamin D'Urban arrives at Toronto aboard Cherokee; it will return to Kingston; "Capt. Fowell returns to England next week, leaving Lieut. Davis, R.N., in command of the Cherokee; while the command of the Lakes devolve upon Lieutenant Harper, of the Minos, as the senior officer. The Minos is in commission on Lake Erie." [Colonist]
