p.3 Sailing Match - A match between the Sans Souci and the Golden Arrow, to sail from the Martello Tower, opposite the City Hall, to the upper Brother and back, was arranged to come off yesterday. The wind was blowing half a gale, from S.S.W.; nevertheless both boats came to the scratch, and a very pretty start was made about half past ten o'clock, the Sans Souci leading the way for about a mile, and then giving place to the Golden Arrow, which appeared to maintain her ground till both boats were out of sight. The latter boat, however, unfortunately grounded on a bar at the lower Brother, and was thus disabled from further contesting the race.
