p.3 The River - Opposition - The swift steamer Fashion commences her trips today on the river in opposition to the mail line. She is advertised to leave this city tomorrow morning for Montreal, and to perform tri-weekly trips. The Ottawa will be placed alongside the Fashion by the proprietors of the mail line, and as the former rivals the latter in speed there will be a sharp contest between them. The cheap fares have, we observe, induced a great deal of travel.on river.
