p.391 Lake Temperance - We understand that a very laudable exertion is making among the Owners and Masters of vessels at this port, to fit out their vessels for the season without furnishing the article of spirituous liquors to be drank on board by either master or men. We look upon this as a very praiseworthy exertion, and one that will rebound much to their credit and benefit. [Sackets Harbor Paper]
