p.71 Rideau Canal - Some canoes, with persons of distinction on board, passed and re-passed one of the locks of the Rideau Canal near Bytown on Saturday last.

Welland Canal - The schr. Charles and Ann proceeded from York to Buffalo and returned between the 15th and 26th ult. The passage of the canal was made in about 24 hours each way.
