p.3 We have been requested to notice the fact, that the American Steam Boat Wm. Avery has never discontinued any of her trips during the late sickness, but has been constant and regular in her days of sailing.

The Captain of the above vessel has desired us to acknowledge, that in the late trial speed between the Commodore Barrie and the Wm. Avery, the latter was fairly vanquished.
