Annual Theme Slide Night. Members are invited to bring up to 16 slides each to illustrate "Before and After", showing ships at different stages of their careers. Let your imagination run wild as you pick slides to show! Friday, February 1st - 8: 00 p. m. at the Museum. Our speaker will be "Buck" Longhurst, of Sault Ste. Marie, who will present an illustrated programme entitled "Purvis Marine and the Delivery Voyage of AVENGER IV". Plan to attend this special event. THE EDITOR'S NOTEBOOK The November Meeting featured a most interesting programme, presented by Gordon Turner, illustrating the changing shipping scene in European waters. There was a large turnout of members and we all enjoyed an extremely pleasant evening. We have been greatly encouraged by the response of our members to our annual membership renewal request. The reaction of the members has been extremely gratifying, and only a few recalcitrants have been tardy in sending us their renewals. If you know of any such procrastinators, please give them a good kick in the direction of their chequebooks... In the New Member Department, a hearty Scarborough, to Capt. C. Birmingham of Chatsworth, and to Richard E. Workman "Welcome Back" to all who have renewed welcome goes out to John Dedrick of St. Thomas, to Capt. Scott Clegg of of Corunna. And, in addition, a big for the new 1990-1991 season. * * * * * * AFFILIATED WITH THE MARINE MUSEUM OF UPPER CANADA
