Bill Breaker will present an illustrated programme entitled "Great Lakes and Deep Sea Tugs and Their Many Functions". Please plan to attend. Friday, January 6th - 8: 00 p. m. at the Museum. Annual Theme Slide Night. Members are invited to bring up to fifteen slides each to illus trate "Ships In Public Service - Part Two". This will be a semi repeat of our snowed-out theme night from last winter. * * * * * * * THE EDITOR'S NOTEBOOK Many thanks to all of you who renewed your T. M. H . S. membership so prompt ly. If you are reading these words, then you DID remember to renew, else you would not be on our mailing list! If any of your friends should m en tion that they have not received this issue, however, you might tell them that the problem may be resolved by sending us a renewal payment... As noted above, our January Theme Slide Night will feature the same topic as last year, not only because there are many more photos of governmentowned ferries, tugs, service, naval, coast guard, etc., ships out there, but also because our Theme Night last winter was snowed out and very few members got to see the slides that were brought by those who managed to reach the meeting. So get your thinking caps on now in preparation for what should be a very interesting evening. By the way, in case weather should appear to threaten any of our upcoming winter meetings, members may phone the Programme Chairman, Gordon Turner, at (416) 762-3130 on the day of the meeting to confirm whether the meeting will proceed.
