p.2 Arrival of Governor-General - British Whig Jan'y 12th - the Wolfe Islanders placed their "far-famed Death on a pair of sleighs, and rigging that handsome boat completely as a ship, with flags at the mast head, they proceeded to Cape Vincent..." to pick up the Gov.-Gen. The crew was composed of the Wolf Island Regatta Club, which had sweeping victories last summer at the Toronto, Oswego and Kingston Regattas. The "Prince of Wales" was also fitted up at the Marine Railway for a parade through Kingston.
