p.3 We understand that one of the Locks on the Rideau Canal gave way a day or two ago. There were two barges in the lock at the time one of which was sunk. We presume the damage will be repaired immediately - as it would be a serious loss to the mercantile community if the navigation of the Rideau were interrupted for any length of time, at this season of the year.

Died - Mr. Luke H. Shea, Master Shipwright at Kingston Marine Railway on Thursday last.
