p.2 The Shoal - The sale of the Shoal in Kingston harbour, advertised by the Crown Lands Department, has been forbid, by the express command of His Excellency the Governor General. The Crown Lands Department has no more right to this Shoal than it has to any other alienated Crown property, and had its illegal sale been allowed, every other shoal place in Kingston harbour, or in the harbour of any other Canadian town, will equally have become the property of the Crown.
