This will be our last formal meeting until October, 1989. * * * * * * * THE EDITOR'S NOTEBOOK The March Meeting featured A l Sykes, who presented an illustrated review of the history of the Q & O fleet. The programme was enjoyed by all those in attendance, and we thank A l for preparing this show for us. THE ANNUAL DINNER MEETING will be held at the Ship Inn, in the Museum, on Saturday, May 1 3 , Dinner will be served at 7 :00 p. m., and the bar will be open earlier for those wishing a restorative before dinner. Our Speaker will be Daniel C. McCormick, of Massena, N. Y., whose illustrated programme will describe "The Transition from Old Canals to Modern Seaway". Cost of the beef dinner will be $20.00 per person and guests will be welcome. Please send your early remittance to William R. Wilson, 173 Glenrose Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M 4T 1K7. Tickets will be held at the door for all those who have reserved. Please Note: Restaurant capacity is limited and we have a deadline for con firming the number that will attend. Reservations, accompanied by paym e n t , must be received by Tuesday, May 9 . We regret that there can be no refunds after that date, and that tickets will not be sold at the door. Please re serve early to ensure that there will be space for you and your party.
