The large group in attendance enjoyed three interesting marine videos, presented via our host's excellent viewing facilities. We were greatly encouraged this autumn by the enthusiastic response of our members to our annual membership renewal drive. Our readers' reaction has been extremely gratifying, especially to those Committee members who are in- volved with producing and mailing "Scanner", and those who arrange or chair our regular meetings. Only a few recalcitrants have been tardy in sending us their renewals. If you know of any such procrastinators, or if somebody re gularly borrows your copy of "Scanner" to read it rather than joining the Society and getting his/her own copy, please give such persons a good, swift kick in the direction of their chequebooks and the closest mailbox... In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Dale Dean, of Port Lambton, Ontario. * * * * * * * AFFILIATED WITH THE MARINE MUSEUM OF UPPER CANADA ISSN 0318-014X
