But come...! * * * * * * * THE EDITOR'S LOGBOOK Membership fees for the 1997-1998 season were due by October, so if you receive this issue, then not to worry. You are fully paid up for the new season. But if you should happen to hear a friend mention that he has not received the November issue, you might suggest that the remittance of annual fees (as requested in the Mid-Summer and October issues) would restore that person's name to our active mailing list. We already have received some interesting "objets" for our next silent auction and we can assure you that they will attract interest. Anyone who has items of major marine interest that they would care to donate for the auction may contact any member of our Executive Committee. In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to John D. Thompson, of Toronto, and to Ronald J. "Sandy" Sanderson, of Colling wood, who survived the sinking of SCOTIADOC in 1953 and has written a personal account of the experience for this issue of "Scanner". We are pleased to have you with us as members of T. M. H. S. * * * * * * * AFFILIATED WITH THE MARINE MUSEUM OF UPPER CANADA ISSN 0318-Q14X
