GREAT LAKE MEMORIES 16. Photographs of the beautiful interior of HAMONIC are very rare and we are in the debt of member Don McCartney who loaned us these two excellent views. The top image is one of the diningroom that we have not previously seen, showing that impressive room set for a meal. The lower view shows the first-class entrance rotunda on the port side, the grand staircase, and one of the baggage rooms. The fancy board at left seems to be a holder for baggage tags. This photo gives us but a very small idea of how grand the interior of HAMONIC actually was, even without the benefit of a galleried atrium. If any other readers have HAMONIC interior views that they could share with us, we would be most grateful to hear from them.
