We are very grateful to Ron Beaupre who was able to put the programme together despite a move and trying work circumstances. The Annual Dinner Meeting will be held Saturday, May 8, in the Captain's Quarters aboard JADRAN, which is moored on the east side of Toronto's Yonge Street slip. Parking is available in two lots just east of the ship, and there is easy access via T. T. C. (Bay Bus or Harbourfront-Spadina streetcar south from Union Station to Queen's Quay). The cash bar will open at 6: 00 p. m. and the four-course dinner will be served at 7: 00. Speaker for the evening will be Paul Gockel who will speak to us about the famous steam yacht VENETIA, once owned by James Playfair and later by Capt. R. Scott Misener. Paul has done an immense amount of work researching VENE TIA, and his book about her should be published shortly. The ticket price will be $33. 00 Canadian per person ($1 cheaper than last year! ) and, as usual, guests will be welcome.
