We now thank member Tom Brewer for reminding us that 100 years ago, in November of 1907, the passenger and railcar ferry ONTARIO NO. 1, of the Ontario Car Ferry Co. Ltd., sailed from Toronto, where she had been built, to Charlotte, New York, in preparation for entering service between Charlotte and Cobourg. And to commemorate that event, we present bits and pieces from a 1937 O. C. F. Co. flyer, including a photo of ONTARIO NO. 1, which Tom provided for us. ON DATES SHOWN BELOW The steamers " Ontario No. 1" and " Ontario No. 2 " are of twin-screw, triple expansion, steel construction, with 57 foot beam and 328 foot length. Prom enade deck for sports and dancing, and passenger deck with staterooms, parlors, dining salon, and lunch counter. * * * * * * *
