p.3 Caution to Captains of Vessels on Lake Ontario - schooner A. Smith grounded near coast of this District; in order to lighten her, Capt. Wilson threw off 12 crates of Crockery, gave them in charge to John O. Church of the Township of Athol, who landed 7 crates with the help of Mr. Breakenredge, who later stole part of the contents and received a small fine. [Prince Edward Gazette]
