p.2 The following reached us in the ordinary course, enclosing the price of the advertising; but it has not been inserted among the advertisements, because after inquiry has been made, we cannot find that any person of the name of Holland resides at Williamsburgh:

POLLY WAGS.

Insurance Companies are informed that the undersigned has made arrangements along the St. Lawrence for saving Polly Wag wrecks. His Salvage Charges will be very moderate; yet he has no doubt that the amount of business to be done in his line during the fall will enable him to live.

Str. Magnet, Hamilton, 225 bbls. flour, 2 mill stones, Macpherson & Crane; 29 bbls. flour, J.H. Greer & Co.

Str. Scotland, Hamilton, 213 cwt. general merchandize, J.H. Greer & Co.

Tenders called for delivery of lighthouse supplies on Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Detroit River and Lake St. Clair. Department of Public Works June 23rd, 1848.
