GOVERNMENT NOTICE.

Sealed Tenders will be received by the Local Commissariat Officer at Montreal, until Noon on Thursday the 25th instant, for the performance of such Transport by Rail Car and Steamboat, via the River St. Lawrence Line, as may be required for Her Majesty's Service, between Montreal and Kingston and intermediate places, during the Navigable Season of 1849.

The Conditions of Contract, form of Tender, and any further information required, can be obtained on application at the Commissariat Office, Montreal or Kingston.

Tenders to state the rates in Currency, and to contain the signatures of two responsible Sureties for the fulfilment of the Contract.

Payment will be made monthly or two-monthly, either in Specie, at the rate of 5s. 1d. Currency per Dollar, or in Notes of Chartered Banks, at the option of the Commissariat Officer.
