p.2 The steamer Detroit arrived at Milwaukee on the 15th ult. from Chicago, with a large number of passengers and a full freight. The lake is entirely free from ice, and at the last accounts as favorable for navigation as it is usually in April. Last year the first arrival at Milwaukee was on the 19th March.
