Sir, - It affords us great satisfaction to have it in our power to give our testimony in favour of the Steamer New Era, which you have now in command. The present trip has been one of peculiar pleasure. We owe it to you to say, that the New Era, for speed, comfort, excellent fare, and polite attention on the part of her Captain and other Officers, is not to be surpassed.
