p.2 Toronto, Jan. 27th - Judge Draper sat this morning to try an action brought by Wm. Cayley, Esq. against the assignees of the estate of Donald Bethune, to recover the amount of a mortgage held upon certain vessels - the Admiral, America, and Eclipse. The chief points to be considered were strictly legal. Verdict for plaintiff for 6644 Pds. 14s. 2d., subject to the opinion of the court above on certain questions of law.
