To the Editor of the Hamilton Spectator.

Dear Sir, Having seen a Communication in your paper under date of the 7th inst., headed "Navigation of the St. Lawrence," and signed "A Sufferer," we write to request you, in justice to us, to inform us who this pretended Sufferer may be; and content ourselves for the present by saying, that we fear he will have something to suffer for, as we, being proprietors of the Tug Line, consider ourselves aggrieved by such false assertions.

We remain, dear Sir,

Your ob't Servant,

CALVIN & COOK.
