p.2 Canal Towing - on Erie Canal.

p.3 Collision - The Oswego Belle had a collision with the steamer Chicora in Toronto harbor last week, during a fog. The Oswego Belle runs so fast that it is difficult to stop her when once fairly under way. She would have sunk the Chicora had the engines not been reversed, and an effort been made to check her speed.

Wind Wafts - Large quantities of shad, the fry of which were deposited in the Bay of Quinte two years ago, are now being caught and marketed at Belleville.
