p.3 Denial - Capt. Wm. Neville, writing to the Brockville Recorder, denies the statement that the Kitty Friel was lost through the neglect and desertion of the crew. He states that from the outbreak of the fire every man on board worked vigorously, and the flames spread so fast that they had to run the craft ashore to save the men, who lost all their wearing apparel.
