p.3 Snake Island - Mariners mourn the loss of the Snake Island elm, which was such a favorite beacon. Why not raise it again? It may take a fresh hold in the island ground. Such a thing has been done with trees of advanced growth, but the Snake Island elm may be too old.

Wind Wafts - The yachts Emma, Una and Mystery have returned from the Belleville regatta.
