p.3 Improvement - Business is brightening up rapidly on the other side, while we are still on the downgrade here. The Oswego Palladium reports that there are very few vessel transfers this winter, and that owners are not all anxious to sell. One year ago a fleet could be bought for what is now asked for the largest schooners.

Harbour - no ice from G.T.R. wharf to Garden Island, people crossing in ice boats.
