p.3 Shipping Ore - 26,000 tons of iron ore to be shipped by Rideau to Kingston and then by schooner to Cleveland.

Capt. Samuel Mulligan, Ottawa, has purchased tug Ellswood, of Kingston, for the sum of $1000.

Wind Wafts - The Pierrepont was stuck in the ice for about half an hour today, but managed to free herself. She made her regular trip to the Island afterwards.

Capt. John Mulvaney, of Chicago, is in the city.
