Canal Tolls - vessel owners and shippers want canal tolls reduced or abolished - (details).

The Harbour - Pierrepont impeded by ice; tug Lady Franklin towed schr. Riverside down to Deadman's Bay to load ice. The Oswego vessel men have contracts to load ice at Three Mile Bay.

Vessel Prospects - Chicago Times calling for good season for vessel profits.
