p.3 Wind Wafts - The tug Active arrived at noon with a tow of barges, coal laden, from Oswego for Montreal.

Two thieves stole the yacht Emma from Picton harbour. They were overtaken by the owners on the steamer Hastings, arrested, and committed for trial.

Narrow Escape - two men in small boat when it founders off head of Carleton Island; they were picked up by schooner L.B. Saone. (sic - Sloane ?)
