Marine News.

The yacht Bloodhound, built by Capt. Cuthbert, has been sold to a Chicago gentleman.

The Shipping Gazette has collapsed. Marine men don't care for news a week old when they can get it daily.

A party of young men passed down the river this morning in a small skiff, in which they had travelled from Toronto.

The sch. Jane C. Woodruff has been chartered for a third time to carry timber from Astabula to Kingston, at $50 per 1000 cubic feet.

The sch. L.D. Bullock, Manistee, 4452 pieces deal; J.G. Worts, Chicago, 22,000 bush wheat; H.P. Murray, Toledo, 10,340 bush wheat, arrived here yesterday.

Work has been stopped on the wreck of the sch. Trenton, that blocks the entrance to Presqu'ile harbour. It has been buoyed out, but that will not prevent a vessel fouling it on a dark night.

The sch. Clara Youell has cleared for Astabula with 416 tons iron ore. The schrs. B.W. Folger and Richardson have cleared for Oswego. The prop. Sovereign loaded railroad iron and left for Duluth.

Called at Swifts - steamers Algerian from Montreal; Corsican from Hamilton; Magnet from Charlotte; Passport from Montreal; Persia from St. Catharines; Cuba from Ogdensburg; Armenia from Toronto; Sovereign from Montreal.

Passed Through the Welland Canal for Kingston: schrs. Denmark, Toledo, timber; Undine, Toledo, wheat; Manner Valley, Toledo, wheat; H. Dudley, Toledo, wheat;l Magdala, Chicago, corn; Victor, Toledo, wheat; Corsican, Toledo, wheat; sch. Forest Queen and str. Arundell run in here with excursionists and left again.

Morwood, Port Dalhousie, 19,502 bush wheat; Oliver Mowat, Chicago 18,000 bush corn; Speedwell, Port Dalhousie, 14,700 bush corn; American, Milwaukee, 18,000 bush wheat; Belle Mitchell, Chicago, 21,000 bush wheat; the prop Africa lightenedj 3000 bush wheat; Departures - barges Yamaska 10,998 bush wheatl; Waterloo, 1200 bush do corn; Pacific, 11,651 bush wheat; Medora 8202 bush wheat; Montreal 18,498 bush wheat.
