p.3 Death Of A Pilot - This morning the lingering illness of Mr. Alexander McKillop ended in death. The deceased had been a resident of Kingston for over 30 years, enjoying the respect of the whole community and the confidence especially of the mariners, among whom he served as a pilot for thirty years. He will be missed upon the river where his face and presence were as familiar as a household word. His wife and family are receiving sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
