p.1 Personalty Taxation - Mr. Calvin says Kingston violates laws by assessing vessel property for only 10 % of its value. [Toronto Telegram]

p.2 Salvage Bill - Ottawa, Feb. 17th - The merits of the Dominion Salvage & Wrecking Company's measure will come before the parliamentary committee for discussion tomorrow. The supporters of the measure at present in Ottawa are representatives from points directly interested in Upper and Lower Canada. Among the promoters of the bill are Capt. Herriman, of Montreal, and Capt. Donnelly, of Kingston.

p.3 Wind Wafts - Mr. Calvin claims his firm would have been bankrupt twice if they had to pay insurance every year.

A New Barge - S. Wilson, jr., of Picton, building a new barge to carry 15,000 bushels, will cost $13,000, for Bay of Quinte trade.
